We just got done with putting in new flooring downstairs, it was definitely time to do so. We ended up going with tile that looks like wood and boy does it ever - but I don't have to worry about it warping like a wood floor does, like ever.
Some homeowners that thought about selling and changed their minds doing renovations instead, are picking up the tile that looks like wood as well. But, what if interest rates do drop to the point where the market activity changes again, will the renovations be worth it if someone wants to sell after putting the money down for a new floor? New flooring always increases salability. If you're staying put, then you'll be enjoying your new floors for a long time. What kind of flooring would you choose if you were to redo them?
